Let's All Shine Brighter Together

Join our 2nd annual Richfield Light Festival! The magic of this lantern light festival is truly enchanting. As dusk falls, the sky will begin to twinkle with the soft glow of lanterns being lit and released into the night sky. Families and friends will have the opportunity to gather together, taking part in exciting activities such as laser tag, inflatables, and live music performances leading up to the lighting. Food trucks will be offering delicious delights and drinks to enjoy throughout the evening.

This festival is a magical and unforgettable evening YOU won't want to miss!

What You Need to Know

• Lanterns may be purchased for $10 each and include a marker to write out your wishes before launch.
• Lanterns are sold first come first serve.
• Lanterns may be pre-purchased online or in-person and will be available for sale by February, so check back then.
• If still available, lanterns may be purchased the night of the event at the fairgrounds. 
• You MUST be an adult to purchase and pick up lantern/s. Children must be accompanied by an adult for the lighting of lanterns.
• Lanterns will be dispersed at the Sevier County Fairgrounds from 6-8 PM the night of the event Fri. April 11. 
• Lighting stations and instructions will be provided that evening. 
• The lantern launch will take place at nightfall and is 100% dependent on the wind and the fire chief and warden’s approval.  
• Family friendly activities will be offered throughout the evening.
• An unlimited laser tag wristband may be purchsed for $10 each. 
• An unlimited inflatable wristband may be purchsed for $5 each.

When Things Are Happening

• 6-8 PM Lantern purchase and pick up, food trucks, activities, laser tag, inflatables, and live music 
• 8-8:30 PM Instruction and prep for lantern launch
• 8:30-9 PM Lantern launch*

*The lantern launch will take place at nightfall and is 100% dependent on the wind and the fire chief and warden’s approval. In the event of inclement weather such as heavy rain, winds, or any other conditions that may pose a safety risk, the lantern light festival organizers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event. Please note that tickets/lanterns purchased are non-refundable, as the festival organizers are not responsible for unpredictable weather conditions. The safety and well-being of our attendees and staff are our top priority, and decisions regarding event cancellations or postponements will be made with this in mind. Our lanterns have a small fuel source in the middle that, once lit, will lift the lantern slowly into the sky with a soft glow. These lanterns are made with fire-retardant, 100% biodegradable material.
